Applications of Industrial Dust Filter Bags
Tailored Filtration Solutions for Diverse Industries

Operating Challenges: Asphalt fumes are hot and contain sticky tar components.
Dust Characteristics: High temperature, high moisture, and high viscosity.
Recommended Filter Bags:
- Aramid (e.g., Nomex®): The most common and cost-effective choice for asphalt plants.

Operating Challenges: Cement production lines (e.g., kilns, mills) generate high concentrations of abrasive, high-temperature dust.
Dust Characteristics: High temperature (up to 150-240°C), high moisture content, fine particles, and highly abrasive.
Recommended Filter Bags:
- Aramid (e.g., Nomex®) Felt: Ideal for conditions around 180°C, such as in tail kilns and raw mills.
- PTFE Blends/Membranes: Best for kiln heads or special applications with corrosive gases and high humidity, providing outstanding chemical stability.

Operating Challenges: Ironmaking, steelmaking, and smelting processes produce ultra-high temperature metal oxide dust, often containing sparks.
Dust Characteristics: Extremely high temperatures (spikes over 280°C), presence of sparks, and sometimes sticky or corrosive dust.
Recommended Filter Bags:
- PPS (Polyphenylene Sulfide): Excellent for applications with sulfur-containing flue gas, such as from coal-fired boilers.
- Fiberglass with Membrane: A cost-effective solution for stable, high-temperature applications without fluoride corrosion.
- PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene): The ultimate performance choice, suitable for the harshest conditions with a long service life.

Power Generation
Operating Challenges: Dust collection for flue gas from coal-fired power plants involves large dust loads and complex gas compositions. Dust Characteristics: Contains corrosive gases like sulfur oxides (SOx) and nitrogen oxides (NOx), fine dust, and high temperatures. Recommended Filter Bags: PPS (Polyphenylene Sulfide): The mainstream choice for coal-fired boiler flue gas due to its excellent resistance to acids and heat. PTFE Blends: Used when flue gas is more corrosive or higher filtration standards are required.

Waste Incineration
Operating Challenges: Incinerator flue gas is the most complex, containing dioxins, heavy metals, acid gases, and other highly toxic substances. Dust Characteristics: Highly corrosive (HCl, SOx), wide temperature fluctuations, and contains toxic materials, demanding the highest filter media standards. Recommended Filter Bags: PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) Felt: The only reliable choice for waste incineration. It resists nearly all chemical attacks and remains stable at high temperatures. A PTFE membrane is often required to achieve near-zero emissions.

Asphalt Mixing
Operating Challenges: Asphalt fumes are hot and contain sticky tar components. Dust Characteristics: High temperature, high moisture, and high viscosity. Recommended Filter Bags: Aramid (e.g., Nomex®): The most common and cost-effective choice for asphalt plants.
